Mafar Academy’s inaugural Mafar Accelerator Programme (MAP) 2026 has concluded its first cohort, bringing together 34 participants representing 20 healthcare businesses for four weeks of intensive business capability training at FAMES Event Space.
Running from 10 January to 8 February 2026, MAP was designed specifically for healthcare business owners — clinic owners, managing directors, and business partners who are committed to building more sustainable, systematically-run practices.
The programme is not a general healthcare seminar. Of the 34 participants, 62.5% were active clinic owners, 25% were business partners, and 12.5% were associates — making MAP a room full of decision-makers, not spectators.

Six Modules. Real Clinic Challenges.
The programme covered six core modules, each led by practitioners who are themselves clinic owners and senior leaders within the Mafar Group ecosystem.
Participants worked through Human Resources, Marketing and Branding, Finance, Sales, Panel and TPA Foundations, and Stock Management — areas that directly reflect the challenges Malaysian clinic owners face daily.
Pre-programme data collected from participants revealed that Systems and Technology was the most commonly cited challenge, followed closely by Finance and Cashflow, and Marketing and Patient Growth.
The MAP curriculum was structured to address these pain points directly, with each trainer bringing both academic frameworks and hands-on clinic experience to every session.

Taught by Practitioners, Not Just Trainers
What distinguishes MAP from conventional business programmes is who delivers the content.
All six trainers hold operational roles within healthcare businesses alongside their positions at Mafar Group.
Al Jazzura, CPO of Mafar Group and the programme’s Soul and Leadership trainer, has conducted professional development programmes in collaboration with MARA, MTDC, and Cradle.
Ashraf Idris, CFO and CHRO of Mafar Group, leads the Finance and Human Resource module drawing from his background managing Poliklinik An-Nur @ Paka.
Marketing and Branding was led by Syazwan Hazim, CMO of Mafar Academy and a clinic owner, while Sales was delivered by Harits Zamrin, Co-founder of Mafar Group, whose marketing strategies scaled clinic revenue from five to six figures.
Panel and TPA Foundations were covered by Dr Amir Izzuddin, COO of Mafar Healthcare and Managing Director of Poliklinik An-Nur @ Bandar Teknologi Kajang, and Stock Management by Dr Ghazali Md Nor, CEO of Mafar Healthcare — both active clinic operators who bring daily operational reality into the training room.

Two More Cohorts in 2026
The first cohort marks the beginning of a full-year programme. MAP 2026 is structured across three cohorts — Cohort 2 runs April to June, Cohort 3 in August to October.
Each cohort builds on the last, with participants remaining connected through an ongoing WhatsApp group, post-MAP follow-up sessions, and a 12-month participant support ecosystem.
For healthcare professionals looking to build more capable, resilient practices, MAP 2026 Cohort 2 registration opens soon. Learn more about the Mafar Accelerator Program on our Partnership page or get in touch directly.
